Discover the Secrets of Robber’s Cave!
For years, access to Lincoln’s infamous underground landmark was denied — adding to the mystery and legends surrounding it. Now, the story of Robber’s Cave is finally being told!
Join us on March 16 at 5:30 PM for a 45-minute presentation (with time for Q&A) exploring the fascinating history of Lincoln’s only underground attraction. Whether you’ve toured the sandstone tunnels yourself, snuck in years ago (we won’t ask ), or are just hearing about it for the first time, you’ll love uncovering the truths, legends, and recollections behind this iconic site.
Author Joel Green — local teacher, tour guide, and winner of the 2019 Nebraska Book Award for nonfiction — will share insights from his book *Robber’s Cave: Truths, Legends, Recollections*. He traces the cave’s ownership over the past century, highlighting the many colorful characters connected to its story.
Did you know Robber’s Cave is older than the city of Lincoln itself? Its tunnels are no longer sealed — and its story is one that deserves to be told.
Books will be available for purchase, and Joel will have copies on hand for those who would like one.
Don’t miss this chance to explore the history beneath our feet!
