Sometimes you just want to find out the answers without asking questions of grumpy, intimidating librarians. (I swear we’re not like that here!) Just in case you do, take a look at these Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)!

A: Monday: 10 am to 6 pm
Tuesday: 10 am to 6 pm
Wednesday: 10 am to 6 pm
Thursday: 10 am to 7:30 pm
Friday: 10 am to 6 pm
Saturday: 10 am to 2 pm
Sunday: CLOSED

Q: What is your fax number?
A: (785) 562-4086. It costs 50¢ to send each page and 25¢ to receive each page. We are also able to scan and send documents through email for free, so please ask us for assistance! Back to Top

Q: Can I receive faxes at the Marysville Public Library?
A: Yes! It costs 25¢ a page to receive. Our fax number is (785) 562-4086.  Back to Top

Q: Do you have public computers available for use?
A: We have eight public computers for use, and four laptops available for checkout. To check out a laptop for in-library use only, you must have a library card with us and a picture ID which we will hold on to while the laptop is in use. Q: Am I able to print off your computers?
A: Yes! Each copy you print off the computers, however, does cost. If you have questions printing off the internet (which sometimes prints off more pages than you were wanting) please ask! Back to Top

Q: Am I able to use a copy machine?
A: Yes! Each copy you make, however, incurs a cost. If you need assistance copying something, please ask! Back to Top

Q: How much does it cost to print?
A: 8 1/2 by 11, black and white: 15¢
8 1/2 by 11, color: 25¢
8 1/2 by 14, black and white: 20¢
8 1/2 by 14, color: 50¢
11 by 17, black and white: 25¢
11 by 17, color: $1.00
*Each side counts as one copy; if a page is two-sided, that counts as two copies. Back to Top

Q: I don’t have a library card, but I want to use a computer. Can I?
A: Absolutely! You do not have to have a library card to use our desktop computers. If you want to use a laptop, however, you’ll have to get a library card, which only takes about 5 minutes. Back to Top

Q: I want to get a library card! Can I get one online?
A: Unfortunately, not at this time. We must have your John Hancock on a physical piece of paper, and we need a few seconds to tell you about our policies. I swear we’re not intimidating. Back to Top

Q: I just got a library card! Now what do I do?
A: We can’t wait to see you in the library! We have many options for you to view. Please be aware–the first time you check out, you can only check out two items. After that, the process changes a little. Check out this page for more information! Back to Top

Q: What are your loaning periods?
A: Books and audiobook CDs — 2 weeks
DVDs and magazines — 1 week Back to Top

Q: Do you have a limit on the amount of materials I can check out?
A: After you’ve checked out your initial two items and brought them safely back (when you first get a library card), we don’t have any restrictions on amounts of items, except DVDs. You can only check out 4 DVDs per card, and only two of them can be new, which are designated by an orange dot on the spine. Back to Top

Q: I love physical books, but I also have a tablet. Do you have ebooks I can check out?
